Aleksi Buhler Grammar Deconstruction Reflection 1. My score indicates that I have a good understanding of? Answer: Articles, prepositions, nouns, adjectives, action verbs, subordination conjunctions, predicates, subjects, complex sentences, and exclamatory sentences. 2. My score indicates that I need to work on? Answer: Direct objects, verb phrases, independent clauses, and dependent clauses. 3. What strategist in the future might you use to increase your score? Answer: If a sentence has an action verb, I am going to check for a noun that receives the action to find the direct object. To find a verb phrase I am going to look for a main verb with one or more helping verbs. Any time there isn't a subordination conjunction I can tell that it will be a independent clause. When a sentence has a subordination conjunction before the subject and predicate it has a dependent clause. 4. Identify three specific things that you have learned regarding grammar? Answer: I have learned the four different levels for sentences, how to break down a sentence in to parts of speech, and how one word can be many things like how a preposition can be a subordination conjunction.
